The practical bit

Getting here, getting in, getting comfortable.

What we tell guests by email anyway. Here it is on one page.

Section 01

Corfu's west coast, 25 minutes from the airport. There are a few ways. Most use the shuttle.

The shuttle (we call it Wavy) handles airport, port, and town runs in both directions.

The Pink Palace runs its own shuttle service — Wavy. It's not a private taxi waiting just for you; it's a shared shuttle that runs on a fixed timetable, with one run every 2 hours between 7am (first) and 11pm (last). When you book your room, you'll receive a Wavy booking link from us about 10 days before your arrival. From there, you pick the run that fits your flight (the closer to your landing time, the better). Runs do fill up — earlier you book, more options you'll have.

€10 one-way, or €18 if you book the return at the same time. Routes between airport, Corfu Town, the port, and the property — both directions.

Just call reception. They'll move you to a later run. The shuttle runs every 2 hours until 11pm, so there's flexibility.

The Wavy shuttle covers ferry pickups from Corfu Town port too — same booking link, same prices. Ferries to Corfu come from mainland Greece (Igoumenitsa), Albania (Saranda), or Italy (Bari). Check current schedules and operators directly — timetables vary by season.

Yes — Corfu's public bus network ("the green bus," officially KTEL) runs from Corfu Town to Agios Gordios. It's the cheapest option but slower and less predictable than the shuttle. Useful if you're already exploring the island and want to come back independently.

Taxis from the airport to the property cost around €50 and the ride is about 25 minutes. Useful if you're arriving outside Wavy's operating hours, or with a group splitting the fare.

Yes — parking is free, behind the reception building.

Section 02

The short list. Sun's strong, sea's warm, evenings are easy.

Most of what you need is here. Here's what isn't.

Hot and dry in summer (June–September), often mid-30s°C in July and August. Spring and autumn (April–May, October) are milder and less crowded — good for hiking, less crowded beaches. The sea is swimmable from May through October.

Swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat. Walking shoes if you want to do the cliff trails or village walks. Something light for evenings — Corfu cools down a bit after dark, especially in May and October. Casual clothes work everywhere on the property; no dress code.

Bath and pool towels are included with every room. Beach towels aren't — but you can buy one at reception when you arrive.

Private rooms have one. For dorm guests, you can borrow one from reception.

Greece uses Type C and Type F plugs (the standard two-pin European). 220V. If you're from the UK, US, or anywhere with different sockets, bring an adapter — we don't have spares to lend.

No — togas are provided.

Section 03

Reception's open round the clock. Walk in whenever you arrive.

Check-in is straightforward. Everything else gets handled when you get here.

From 1pm onward. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at reception and use the property — beach, jacuzzi, bar, terrace — until your room is ready.

Just ID (passport or national ID card). The booking is on our system; we don't need anything else from you.

Reception walks you through the property — where the rooms are, where breakfast is served, where the bars and beach are. From there, everything you need during your stay is centralized — booking activities, booking your departure shuttle, contacting reception. We'll show you when you arrive.

Reception is open 24 hours. Whenever you land, someone will be there. If you know you're arriving very late, a heads-up message helps but isn't required.

If you're arriving as a group of more than six, contact reception ahead of time so we can coordinate the arrival and check-in smoothly. Bigger groups need a bit of choreography.

Section 04

Bring a card. The rest is easy.

Cards work everywhere. Cash for the village, an ATM nearby if you need it.

Yes — cards work everywhere on the property. Reception, bars, restaurants, all of it.

Three in Agios Gordios village, all within a short walk of the property. No need to go to Corfu Town for cash.

We don't. Use one of the ATMs in the village, or exchange before you arrive.

Lockers are available at reception. They're not in the rooms, so if you want to leave a passport, cash, or laptop somewhere secure during the day, ask at reception and we'll set you up.

Section 05

WiFi everywhere. Signal mostly. A WhatsApp group for the rest.

The internet works. The island provides the rest.

Free WiFi across the whole property. The signal is strongest in the main common area — strong enough to take video calls or work a full day from there. Fine for general use everywhere else.

Generally perfect. Sometimes after a heavy rain it'll wobble for a bit — island life. Nothing dramatic, comes back quickly.

Either at the airport when you land, or at one of the phone shops in Corfu Town. If you've got an eSIM-compatible phone, that'll be easier.

By phone or directly on WhatsApp. Both numbers are shared with you when you arrive.

Yes — we run a WhatsApp group for current guests, where reception and other guests share what's on that night, who's planning a trip somewhere, who's looking for a hike buddy. It's how most of the social side gets organized once you're here.

Section 06

A small beachside village. A short walk down the hill.

Most of what you'll need is already on the property. The village fills in the rest.

A small beachside village with restaurants, bars, supermarkets, a bakery, and a few souvenir shops. Useful for a snack run, a coffee somewhere different, or anything you forgot to pack.

Around 350 metres downhill. The Beach Bar and our beach sit between the main reception building and the village, so most walks pass through both.

Not really. Around 90% of locals in the village speak English alongside Greek. At the property itself you'll hear even more — depending on who's at reception, you might also be greeted in Spanish, French, or Portuguese.

Questions left over? Reception or contact us before you arrive.
